The club runs on volunteers — here's where you'd fit
July 28, 2026
The Urbandale Youth Sports Club is a non-profit, and there's no staff behind the curtain. Every practice, game day, and equipment fitting happens because a parent said yes to something.
Jobs that need doing
- Team parent — the person who keeps a roster's families in the loop. Mostly messages and reminders.
- Chain crew and game day help — no football knowledge needed, we'll show you in five minutes.
- Equipment — helping fit, hand out, and collect gear at the start and end of the season.
- Concessions — a couple of hours in the stand on a game day.
- Photos — if you already bring a camera to your kid's games, we'd love the pictures.
- Coaching — the biggest ask, and the one that decides how many kids we can field. Prior experience helps, but caring more about kids than about winning matters more.
How to raise your hand
Fill out the volunteer form with what you'd be up for and how much time you have. Nobody gets signed up for more than they offered.
If you own a local business, sponsoring the club is the other way to help — that's what pays for helmets, pads, and field time.
