Urbandale, Iowa · Youth Tackle Football
Urbandale Youth Sports Club
A non-profit built by Urbandale families to give kids a real place to play tackle football.
The club
Parents built this so Urbandale kids would have somewhere to play.
The Urbandale Youth Sports Club is a non-profit, run by volunteers, put together for one reason: to develop a youth tackle football program right here in Urbandale.
Our kids wear J-Hawks navy and white, on a field a few minutes from home, coached by people who live in the same neighborhoods. Every dollar goes back into helmets, pads, jerseys, and field time.

How a season goes
From sign-up to Saturday
01
Sign up
Registration opens each spring. When it's live, the red bar at the top of this page takes you straight to the form.
02
Get fitted
Players are fitted for a helmet and pads before contact starts, so nobody shows up on day one guessing at sizes.
03
Practice
Practices begin in August and build from fundamentals — stance, tackling technique, and conditioning — before the pads come on full time.
04
Play
Games run through the fall against other metro programs, with playoffs at the end of the season.

The club runs on volunteers — here's where you'd fit
You don't need to know football to be useful. Chain crew, team parent, concessions, equipment, photos — a few hours makes a season work.
A volunteer program only works if people volunteer.
Coaches, team parents, chain crew, concessions, equipment hauling, photos on the sideline — there is a job here for whatever time you have. You do not need to know football to be useful on a Saturday.
